As a residential and commercial construction company, Groupline Constructions adopts a disciplined and consistent approach each and every time we take on projects… regardless of size or scale. Groupline has had extensive experience in Design and Construct agreements. This has provided us with extensive experience in providing cost saving options and overcoming any design implications. Our conservative approach ensures all projects tendered for are competitively priced with adequate resources assigned to ensure high quality delivery in a timely manner. Our strict internal processes and strength in project management have served our clients well in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Our Team.

Managing Director – David Widdicombe

David is a third-generation builder and has been involved in the industry for over 20 years. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction Management and a QBCC Open Builders Licence. David has learnt the family business from the ground up and has been involved in a wide range of projects including; civil, infrastructure, commercial and residential building in South East Queensland and New South Wales.

He brings a wealth of experience to operational aspects of all types of projects and has an exceptional grasp on best practice construction methodology. As the driving force behind Groupline’s strategic direction, David identifies and pursues new opportunities, carefully selecting projects that align with their core capabilities.

David is personally oversees all projects, creates innovative program efficiencies and has a passion for delivering high quality projects to all stakeholders.

Commercial Director – Scott Widdicombe

With over 40 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, Scott Widdicombe has a wealth of experience across industrial, commercial and mulit-residential projects. Scott has predominantly delivered projects in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. As a founder and director of several companies operating within the commercial construction industry, Scott has an innate, commercially orientated and practical knowledge of project feasibility and risk. Scott consistently deliveries commercially viable outcomes for the Groupline business.

Project Director– Richard Byatt

Richard has a Degree in Construction and over 35 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. He has successfully delivered numerous complex construction projects across various sectors, including; multi residential, commercial, retail, medical, hospitality and government.

As Project Director, Richard oversees the full project cycle of all Groupline Projects. His role also includes identifying new opportunities and actively contributing to the strategic direction of the company.

Richard maintains strong client relationships and recognises the importance of building positive and lasting connections with all stakeholders.

Estimating Manager – David Westlake

Dave is a seasoned construction professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He has a trade and professional background that enables him to provide a theoretical and practical approach to all cost planning and tender processes for Groupline. Dave’s responsibilities include preparing and presenting cost plans and tenders for all projects, reviewing and negotiating general and special conditions of contract with clients, contractors, and suppliers. He also extends his expertise beyond the cost plan and tendering process to provide assistance to our Project Managers and Project Teams. Dave ensures that all scope of works, conditions, and expectations agreed with all stakeholders are maintained.
